the return of the jets

We had a long list of projects left, some large and some small.  The problem however, was that my and Bryce's lists didn't match.  We decided to alternate between the two of us to choose the projects and since the upstairs bathroom was on the top of my list, next was Bryce's choice.  Guess what he picked?


In the fall of 2008 Bryce's hot tub dreams came true. 

While we're at it though I'll touch on the installation which was much easier than I had anticipated.  We had an electrician run the required 220 out to the end of the deck where the tub was to go.  Bryce dug out 6" or so of dirt and infilled with about 4" of gravel and 2" of sand.  On top of that we used an interlocking hard plastic pad that came free with the purchase of the tub so no permanent concrete pad was needed.  We just needed to get the pad level in the sand and the delivery guys put the tub in place.
