the big blue project: before and afters

Here's a cheat sheet of before and after photos; I plan to update these as changes are made with the oldest photo I can find compared to the most recent. My hope is that these are actually 'before' and 'now' but I'm still working on it. I recently lost some more recent house photos due to a hard drive crash, all of which can be replaced but some not until this snow melts.

the 'why'

In the summer of 2006 we bought a big blue house in need of a major facelift. Only now that it's nearing completion a mere five years later that I have the energy (and a little push from Heidi to get into blogging) to put the process into writing. This was almost entirely written in retrospect so the posting dates aren't indicative of the actual timeline although they are in chronological order so if you're new to the blog, I recommend you start with the oldest post first.
